The creative experiment that is “The Same WORD”, our search for the musical and ethical commonalities in the world religions, is important. But it’s not only important, it is also good work. And we strive to mirror this good work’s importance with fair compensation for the approximately 50 creators involved in the project. People often complain that living as an artist is self-exploitation, but far fewer try to do something about it.
Here’s your opportunity to do something about it. Help us bring the world a little closer together, to reach out to one another musically across cultural and religious boundaries. The Covid19 pandemic has limited the extent of intercultural interaction in many ways, but equally reminded us of its importance.
A donation to “The Same WORD” helps us achieve this in the most critical time possible.
This is how it works:

If you’re paying your income tax in Germany, as a registered German non-profit organization (“gemeinnütziger e.V.), we can offer you a tax-deductable receipt for your donation for German taxation purposes. If that’s of interest to you, we’re assuming that you will be able to read German and thus hope our German FAQ will be sufficient to explain the details. If not, just contact us directly.
Moreover, it’s important that donations through this form aren’t actually donations for, eg, specific measures or minutes of the musical work. The examples given on this page are only used to illustrate the difference your donation of a specific amount could make for the project. Any donation through this form is a donation to Polysound e.V., the registered German non-profit organization that is facilitating the project, for the development of “The Same Word”. The donation amount indicated in the forms can be freely changed, starting at a minimum amount of 10 €.

That’s why I donate the equivalent of x measures (25 € each), so the composition can be finished quickly. One minute of orchestral rehearsal or actual performance is equally available for the bargain price of 25 € – that’s why I donate the equivalent amount in EUR!

I already want to listen to some music! That’s why I donate the equivalent amount of the first quarter of an hour of a rehearsal or performance, 350 €.
The project needs to be adequately documented in audiovisual media and presented on various media platforms, to remain available after the initial performances. And I want to experience this from the beginning. So take my donation of 500 € for the next day of filming the documentary or the post production of the movie, so I can watch the film asap!

A lot helps… surprise… a lot!
For only 750 € our orchestra and choir can work for half an hour on the project. 1500 € will buy a full hour.
The composition of an entire movement – creation, life, peace, or hope – is available for only 7500 €. For a similar amount we can also realize either A or B premiere or additional performances.

A donation is always more than just a donation, and be it ever so small. Because, beyond the important material aspect it recognizes commitment, it values creation and what is still to be created, and it denotes the bond between donor and recipient.
Unfortunately, due to the administrative costs associated with online donations, we have to set the minimum amount for donations at 10 €.
