Katrin Bethge
Visual Artist Katrin Bethge (* 1970) works as an illustrator as well light projection/light artist. She studied scenic painting at Hamburg’s State Opera and holds a degree in Illustration from the University for Applied Sciences (HAW), Hamburg. In 1999, she started working as a projection artist. Her work has been used in combination with dance, theater or music productions (from chamber music to opera), arts exhibitions as well as urban space performances.
Bethge works with companies and projects as diverse as Theaterkollektiv 400asa, air+electricity or tonaLux.
Aside from her work as projection artist, she works as professor for Illustration at the Fashionacademy JAK, Hamburg, since 2001. As well, she was invited as a guest lecturer to the Arts Academy in Turku, Finnland.
